ASCE 7‑22 only — and that's exactly the point.

You won't find 7‑16 or older here, on purpose. Building codes across the country are rolling over to ASCE 7‑22 — so we build the current standard and add the next edition as it becomes relevant, instead of keeping decade‑old math on life support. Even where your jurisdiction still cites an older edition, good engineering thinks about the people under the roof: a wind standard more than ten years out of date isn't doing anyone any favors. Stay current, and your work never ages out from under you.

Is WindLoadCalc a wind load calculator in Excel?

No. WindLoadCalc is browser-based ASCE 7-22 software, not a spreadsheet. It gives you what people wanted from an Excel wind load calculator without the broken formulas.

And it exports to Excel — plus PDF, HTML and CSV — whenever you want a spreadsheet copy.

Can I export my wind load results to Excel?

Yes. Excel (.xlsx) is one of several one-click exports, alongside PDF, HTML, CSV, and a plan-ready schedule format.

The calculation lives in the software, so Excel is simply an output you can generate any time — not the fragile place your engineering lives.

Why don't you offer ASCE 7-16 or an older edition?

On purpose. Building codes are rolling over to ASCE 7-22, so we build the current standard and add new editions as they become relevant instead of maintaining decade-old math.

Even where a jurisdiction still cites an older edition, designing to a wind standard more than ten years out of date does not serve the people under the roof.

Is the exported report a sealed or stamped document?

No — what you export is an Engineering Report, never a sealed or stamped document. Sign-and-seal by a professional engineer is a separate service, available in all 50 states through the firm's engineer network, that you add only when a project specifically calls for a stamp.
